Temperature Test came to the rescue of a customer recently. The customer supplies and lays oil pipelines around the globe. The customer’s test equipment must be calibrated and certified with at least 12 months certification prior to despatch. One critical analysis that must be made when laying a pipeline is the dew point reading, as this effects the stability of the joint in the pipeline. The outcome could be catastrophic if the joints fail, as these pipelines range over some of the most inaccessible and inhospitable areas of the world. Our customer required a fast 24 hour turnaround on calibration of a range of test equipment including thermometers, conductivity meters and dew point meters. We responded quickly to this request, despatching an engineer to collect the equipment. Our engineers then worked overtime to complete the temperature and humidity calibrations. The customer received the calibrated and certified test equipment back within 24 hours and they were shipped to Turkey the next working day. Fast, efficient service was delivered on time to exceed customer expectation.
